2.3.1 Anti-parasite products for agricultural use
2.1.1 Bees and queen bees may not be imported without appropriate authorization from local authorities or from the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.
2.1.2 Bees, leeches and silkworms for importation must be packed in boxes in accordance with the conditions acceptable to the administration of origin.
General rule
The general conditions for the importation of plants and plant products are set by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, in accordance with Federal law No 5/1979. Any additional information may be obtained from the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries at the following address: Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, PO Box 213, ABU DHABI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES.
Anti-parasite products for agricultural use and similar products may be imported only if they comply with Ministerial Order No 12/1991, issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, regardingthe importation rules and general licensing conditions in respect of agricultural pesticides.
2.3.2 Fertilizers See Ministerial Order No 23/1991, issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, regarding the importation of organic fertilizers and the relevant conditions withwhich these products must comply.
2.4 to 2.6 not applicable.
2.7 Narcotics The import of pharmaceutical preparations containing narcotics is subject to authorization by the Ministry of Health. Any additional information regarding suchauthorization may be obtained from the: Ministry of Health, Directorate of Pharmaceuticals and Supply, PO Box 848, ABU DHABI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES.
2.8 Pharma- ceutical products
2.8.1 Medicaments and other products used in medical treatment
3.1 Books, brochures, newspapers, printed matter
The importation of medicaments and other products used in medical treatment is subject to prior authorization by the competent directorate of the Ministry of Health (Directorate of Pharmaceuticals and Supply). Any additional information in this connection may be obtained from that Directorate.
Exemption
Medicaments for personal use are exempt on presentation of a supporting medical report.

Certain books, brochures, newspapers, printed matter and other publications are subject to inspection by the Ministry of Information, which is responsible for accepting or excluding them. Information about restrictions and special conditions in this regard may be obtained from that Ministry at the following address: Ministry of Information and Culture, PO Box 17, ABU DHABI, UNITEDARAB EMIRATES.
3.2 Films Certain films are subject to inspection by the Ministry of Information which is responsible for accepting or excluding them. Information about restrictions andspecial conditions in this regard may be obtained from that Ministry.
Part III:
Special conditions, Customs and other
3.1 Drawing up of customs declarations
Customs declarations (C 2/CP 3) must contain all the information necessary for the application of customs duty and control measures on both importation and exportation. Specifically, theymust state:
– the names, first names and address of the senders and addressees;
– the country of origin and country of destination of the item (parcel);
– the goods contained in the item and, if possible, the Harmonized System code number;
– the net weight and gross weight;
– the value of the item, with an indication of the currency used.
The customs declaration should also contain additional information on the nature or condition of the goods in respect of customs regulations (eg "gift", "sample", "goods returned or admitted temporarily", etc).
Lastly, the declaration must be signed by the sender.
