Articles prohibited as imports
Coupons, forms and cards bearing written answers to acrostics, guessing competitions and other similar competitions such as football pools and written communications indicating, whether bymeans of words, letters, marks or numbers moves in a game of chess (on a printed form or otherwise), are inadmissible.
No paper money, or cheques may be posted or conveyed or delivered by post in a printed paper packet. The term paper money includes banknotes, money orders, postal orders, stamps, bills ofexchange, promissory notes, cheques, credit notes which entitle the holder to money or goods and all orders and authorities for the payment of money. The latter group includes gift voucherswhich have a definite cash redemption value, ie those which can be exchanged in lieu of cash whether in part or full payment, for an advertiser's product and which can later be redeemed from thedealer by the advertiser. Exceptionally, gift vouchers which offer a discount to prospective buyers and which cannot at any stage be exchanged for cash or goods are eligible for transmission asprinted papers.
Postage or revenue stamps, whether obliterated or not (except those affixed to a card, an envelope or a wrapper addressed to the sender of the article).
Articles of stationery including notepaper, envelopes, labels, invoices, insurance or other forms intended to be completed by the addressee, greeting or visiting cards when not sent filled in to aperson who is subsequently to use them.
