· Prohibited items – items whose import into the country is prohibited.
· Items admitted conditionally – items whose importation into the country is allowed with the term if a document issued by the relevant authorities of the exporting country is presented.
· Items admitted without conditions – items whose import into the country is allowed.

Articles prohibited as imports
Lebanon does not accept any kind of postal item containing articles prohibited by virtue of article 24 of the Convention.
Nor does it accept parcels containing coins, banknotes, bearer bonds of any kind, travellers' cheques, platinum, gold or silver, manufactured or otherwise, precious stones or other precious articles,liquids or materials with a tendency to liquefy, articles of glass or the like or fragile articles.
Furthermore, it is prohibited to send firearms or parts thereof, ammunition, explosive materials, chemical products, lighters, matches or medicaments, unless they are accompanied by a prescriptionor a document indicating their specifications or components.
Importation of products of animal origin is authorized so long as they are accompanied by a sanitary certificate issued by the veterinary services. The same applies to products of plant origin, whoseimportation is authorized so long as they are accompanied by a permit and an entry certificate issued by the phytosanitary control service stating that they are not carrying any disease.
