· Items admitted conditionally – items whose importation into the country is allowed with the term if a document issued by the relevant authorities of the exporting country is presented.
· Items admitted without conditions – items whose import into the country is allowed.

Part II:
Conditions of admission of articles imported or in transit
2.1 Animals and animal products
2.2 Fruits, vegetables and all agricultural products
2.1.1 Bees:
Importation of bees is permitted with a certificate of the relevant authority in the country of origin attesting that the beehives from which the bees were taken have been inspected within 60 days before their despatch and that they are free of any disease.
An authorization of the Ministry of Agriculture is also required.
2.1.2 Meat, fish, meat and fish products:
Fresh and frozen meat are admitted for import under permit from the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture and a certificate issued by the competent authority in the country of origin attesting that veterinary control was carried out.
Meat products, fish and fish products, can be admitted as commercial samples only, under a permit from the Israeli Food Control Administration and based on certificates issued by thecompetent authority in the country of origin that the food is fit for human consumption.
This restriction does not apply to canned products for which apply the general provisions above.
2.1.3 Fecundated birds’ eggs:
Fecundated birds’ eggs are permitted for import with an authorization of the veterinary services of the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture and advance notification of the veterinary services three daysbefore arrival.
General provisions concerning food products:
Food products may be imported without an import license in quantities up to 15 kg, but not more than
3 kg per item. A license is required for quantities above this amount.
Potatoes not originating from Europe are subject to an authorization of the Ministry of Agriculture.
Dried fruits and vegetables not originating from Europe or the USA are subject to an authorization of the Ministry of Agriculture.
Branches, roots, leaves, cut flowers and plant parts, straw and hay, industrial cotton seeds, nuts of all kind are subject to an authorization of the Ministry of Agriculture.
Fresh fruits and vegetables, onions and garlic not originating from tropical or subtropical areas are subject to an authorization of the Ministry of Agriculture.
Buckwheat may be imported with a quarantine certificate of the Israeli Ministry of Health stating that the buckwheat is free of poisonous weed.
2.3 Waxes Beeswax and other kinds of waxes may be imported with the authorization of the relevant authorities at the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture and the Veterinary Services ofthe Ministry of Health.

Wines and spirits must bear a label stating the name, quantity, degree of alcohol and country of origin, manufacturing or filling of the item.
Whisky must be accompanied by a certificate from the exporter stating the year of manufacturing and that the whisky has been stored no less than three years.
Denatured alcohol must be accompanied by a certificate of the manufacturer stating the ingredients and the method used for denaturing.
Flour and pallets of meat are authorized for import with a certificate from the veterinary services in the country of origin that the items are free of disease and with the approval of the veterinary services at the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture.
Preparations used in animal feeding are authorized for import with a certificate from the veterinary services at the Ministry of Agriculture.
Dangerous drugs may be imported with a certificate of the relevant authorities in the country of origin, an import license, and the approval of the Israeli Ministry of Health.
Microorganisms, cultures of fungi, viruses and microbes may be imported with the authorization of the veterinary services of the Ministry of Agriculture.
2.7 Insecticides Insecticides are permitted for import in liquid if they include at least 50% DDT or in powder if they include more than 10% DDT.
The accompanying label must show the name of the manufacturer, the quantity of DDT and instructions for use.
2.8 Furs and skins Hides, skins and furs are permitted for import with a certificate of the veterinary services in the country of origin that the animals were free of disease and under veterinarycontrol, and an authorization of the veterinary services of the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture.
The certificate must show that the items have been disinfected in the manner prescribed by the veterinary services of the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture.
2.9 Wool Wool and wool products may be imported with a certificate from the veterinary services in the country of origin that the items are free of disease and need the approval ofthe veterinary services of the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture.
2.10 Razor blades Razor blades must be wrapped in closed packages including at least two but no more than ten blades.
2.11 Electronic equipment

Cordless phones, radio and telephone transmitters and receivers, radars are subject to approval from the Ministry of Telecommunications.
Encoding devices are subject to prior approval from the military authorities.
The other articles specified in article 25.5 of the Universal Postal Convention may be sent in a closed envelope as registered items only, provided this is permitted by the internal legislation of the country of origin.
2.12 Arms Firearms and munitions may be imported only with an import license and a permit to carry firearms.

Customs provisions
Items imported in Israel are subject to Customs duties (Customs tax, VAT, etc).
The amount of taxes to be paid and any other information concerning customs provisions may be obtained from the relevant customs authorities in Israel, as mentioned in the Customer Guide(International postal shipments and Customs matters) of the UPU.
